The all-important question as we stand before our Creator, Sustainer, Benefactor, and Judge, that great God with whom we have to do, is not whether we are moral or immoral, or whether we are religious or non-religious. The all-important question as we stand before that great God who knows our words before we speak them and our thoughts before they come to mind is, "What do you think of the Lord Jesus Christ?" Knowing Christ is the very epitome of life eternal, for if you know Him, you love Him; if you know Him, you worship Him; and if you know Him, you come to Him, you trust Him, you serve Him, and you follow Him in the spirit of gracious obedience. Those who know Him have eternal life (John 17:2,3; Matthew 11:27; I John 5:20). What is your answer to this all-important question? What do you think of God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you think of Him as having and exercising some power over some things, or all power over all things? Do you think of Him as merely being a Saviour, or as the only Saviour of sinners? Do you think of Him as only making Himself (salvation) available to man's sinful free will, or as one who saves whom He pleases, making them willing by His almighty grace? In a word, do you think of the Lord Jesus Christ as a ruler and Saviour by man's permission, or do you think of Him as He is - the sovereign, ruling, conquering Lord and Saviour who sits upon His throne of universal dominion, asking leave of none to perform His glorious works? Which Christ do you know and love? How you answer these questions will determine whether you know the Christ of God and are saved, or whether you believe in a Christ of you own imagination and are still lost and under the condemnation of God - and God knows!
